Ruinart x Otis Hope Carey
CELEBRATING ART, CRAFTSMANSHIP, AND SUSTAINABILITY
Director, Editor & Photographer
When Ruinart, the first established champagne house, set out to highlight their commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship through their ‘Second Skin’ packaging, they chose to collaborate with renowned Aboriginal artist Otis Hope Carey. Our team was tasked with capturing this unique partnership and showcasing how Otis infused his rich cultural heritage into Ruinart's sustainable initiative.
The challenge lay in balancing the brand’s core values—sustainability, tradition, and artistry—with the creative freedom required for an artist of Otis’s caliber. By allowing Otis to work naturally in his studio, we were able to document an authentic artistic process, capturing not only his craftsmanship but the deep connection between his art, his heritage, and Ruinart’s dedication to environmental responsibility.
The final campaign highlighted the seamless merging of Ruinart’s legacy with Otis’s vision, resulting in a cohesive brand narrative that not only showcased sustainability but also celebrated the cultural and artistic depth of the partnership.
